Congratulations on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout! You may not realize it now, but you will learn that this is an accomplishment of lasting value. Indeed, I am now over the age of 50, when I reflect back, I see that being an Eagle Scout is one of the few things from my youth that continues to benefit me today – and at first glance I must admit that this seems rather strange. However, upon deeper reflection I think that I understand why this is so, and I think you will too.
