Ground Renewable Expeditionary Energy System (GREENS) is more flexible than SPACES. The main concept of GREENS is to use different sources to generate energy. It reduces the need of fossil fuel and distributes the energy to different sections. Marines use GREENS to generate 300 watts of power. A few GREENS modules can be connected together if more power is needed. There are three configurations for GREENS. Configuration 1 is capable to generate 600 watts for 12 hours, configuration 2 is for 300 watts for 12 hours and configuration 3 is capable to generate 150 watts for 12 hours. Like SPACES, two marines can set up GREENS in twenty minutes. The system is capable of delivering power after 5 minutes of setup. The system inputs are AC, solar panels and high voltage DC and converts to low voltage DC to use in the components. In Figure 5, GREENS interconnection systems with different equipments are shown. …show more content…
Marine uses DC Power Distribution Kit (PDK) that reduces power loss by using direct DC instead of less efficient AC. A PDK kit contains a power distribution unit and different types of cables. GREENS has a vehicle mounted battery charger and inverter to distribute power to different equipment in the battlefield. The GREENS stores power in batteries for future uses. Also, this system is good because the primary energy source, which is solar energy is not available all the time. In day time, the system is able to generate more power than at night. The GREENS stores excess power to different batteries. This helps to cover the necessity of power at night or cloudy weather. The benefit of solar systems are, they can work with little or no supervision. They just need to cleaned regularly to protect them from dust, which may reduce sun radiations on the panel. The panels to be wiped regularly with water and a

As you may know, Sports Authority Field Game Plan Green, the stadium’s s strategic path toward sustainability, outlines broad goals to promote green products and consider green energy options but little action has been taken to make these goals a reality. By setting measurable goals they will become more clear and achievable. The following recommendations can be implemented feasibly and have demonstrated success in other stadiums across the league: Preserve energy through the overhaul of the stadium’s lighting systems by installing energy efficient lighting, increased system monitoring, and automated lighting fixtures. Offset energy expenditures by installing solar panels that generate enough energy to cover a significant percentage of gameday energy usage.…

Meredith Monk’s construction Quarry presents a critique on the rise of a dictatorship through the eyes of an innocent and distant child. Similarly, The Green Table by Kurt Jooss depicts the inhumanities and corruption of war as seen by the people experiencing it first hand. Both of these works concern the rise of the Third Reich and the events that took place in WWII. However they differ in method of execution and technique as a result of differing time periods in which the two performances were premiered, as well as the specific stylistic choices implemented by their respective choreographers. With that said, both of these works dramatize the way destructive impulses have been discharged throughout history and show us the detrimental impact…

Humans that live indistinguishably from their ecology benefit from a coexistence, but can only live a half life, extinguishing their individuality as time moves on without them. In J.M. Coetzee’s novel ‘The Life and Times of Michael K’, environmentalism is enveloped throughout and is most evident when Michael interacts with the world around him. As Michael’s hare lip is a physical representation his disability, either the color of his skin or the handicap on his speech furthers his lack of position in society. Although he interacts with other people and other parts of his environment, the eventual regression amounts to his isolation in a cave, over looking Karoo. As he tries to distance himself from the environment that rejects him, he is forcibly resurrected, each time with violent reproach or pitiful indignation.…
