ENGL 202C: Course Analysis

Hello,

My reason for substituting this course is due to the fact that I have already learned the knowledge and concepts from a course taken from a previous school (ENGL 102 from the Community College of Philadelphia) which satisfy the course objectives for ENGL 202C. During this course, I wrote multiple papers which dealt with various aspects of our world today, such as science and technology, social interaction, and economic facets. This gave me an advantage because not only did I know how to write an effective paper in science and technology (the main theme of ENGL 202C), I also wrote on other factors of life which allowed me to broaden my horizon and

I initially signed up for PSYCH 1101 to fulfill a distribution requirement, but it turned out to be so much more for me. Having never been exposed to psychology in high school, I was curious to see what psychology was and whether I would like or not. Turns out, I liked it a lot. Taking PSYCH 1101 seemed to open my eyes to a whole new branch of science. The reason psychology interests me is because I can directly apply many of the studies not only to my own behaviors and thought processes, but also to the actions of those around me.…

In this course plenty of topics were explored that dealt with the lives of women over the time frame 17-20 century. The topics that were discussed were topics that challenged ones’ previous knowledge on women during this time period. Some common myths that people may have about women during this time period is that women stayed at home with their children while they cooked and cleaned. Other myths that are believed is that women had many children normally around five to six and that the available jobs for women was being a maiden. Thus this course provided plenty of evidence that proved one’s prior knowledge about women to be completely wrong.…

Throughout the year AVID has helped me learn organizational skills enormously. I say this because at the beginning of the year I didn’t know how I was going to complete all the work I received and I didn’t really understand the time management part. So as we started getting more and more homework, I found it was important to use your planner and to do your homework the night it was assigned. Several times I fell into a whole on Thursday nights, when we had binder the next day.…

PADM 302 Course Reflection My primary goals for this course were to improve my writing skills in two specific ways. I wanted to be able to write with greater speed, but with apparent quality, and I wanted to be clearer in my writing. I had two strategies in mind to meet these goals. The first included becoming proficient at writing outlines and frameworks, which, I thought, would help me better adhere to my objectives for the papers I write. The second strategy was to learn methods by which I could become more concise in writing which would enable me to more powerfully present the points I wish to deliver in papers.…

During senior year, I have thoroughly enjoyed taking Psychology AP and delving into the many intriguing topics that make up the course. The subject matter of this course is very interesting to me compared to some of my other classes like biology. I also believe that your teaching style has helped me learn the content well due to the topical outlines and entertaining lectures. Compared to other courses in which the teacher merely lectures in an organized fashion, this class has been very user-friendly in terms of understanding content. Overall, the three most intriguing topics that we have covered throughout the school year have been improving the ability to learn, sleep, and defense mechanisms.…

It feels like so long ago when I first began this English course. I can remember being so excited about the class topic, racism and social justice, which I felt that I had a lot of passion for. Little did I know that I would have to gather up even more enthusiasm and passion to be able to continue writing papers about the same topic all semester long. This course has tested my endurance, and at many times my patience, and for that I am thankful because I know in the end, it has made me a better writer. Despite various minor challenges this semester I believe that I have put in the hard work that it takes and I have achieved the course goals and will complete this class feeling fulfilled and accomplished.…

The course have taught me about critical thinking, writing formats, organization, in text citation, and citation of sources. However, these were already taught in high school, but the teaching was more in depth and the power point on integrating sources was the best power point in helping with my research position paper. I definitely believe that I have grasped the knowledge of rhetoric writing, but also improved my organization and citing my sources because I didn’t know whenever citing sources it must be in alphabetical order.
