I am writing this memo to inform you of the material that was requested during class on January 20. You will be provided with my reasons for being in ENG 317W, experiences I have had with writing, my history, strengths and weaknesses.

I am enrolled in ENG 317W because it is required material for the B.S. I am currently seeking, Business Administration majoring in Accounting. I have written on Facebook at length about physical, verbal and emotional abuse I had suffered as a child at the hands of my mother, my experience with depression, surviving renal cell carcinoma, and a near fatal motorcycle accident my husband and I were in on July 27, 2013. This accident left my husband of 25 years disabled and me to start my first year at UMA on crutches.

On November 1, 2016, you were assigned a project to make minor revisions to Standard Procedure 001:48:1, Disposition of Authority Property. Following the assignment of the project, you were instructed by me to: • Correct language errors, if any, in the published document On November 18, 2016, you submitted a draft procedure to me with the language error corrections you were recommending. The approximately 15 one-word recommendations you made included the following errors: • “Maintains an inventory of stored furnitures for use in Central Office (CO) locations.” • Coordinates the transfer and disposal of office furnitures at CO locations only. (In both cases above, you added an “s” to furniture even though the word furniture is an uncountable noun.)…

Based on my evaluations from previous co-op and research experiences, for this summer co-op with Cummins, my main focus areas were as follows: Relation with others, dependability, and judgement. At the beginning of this semester, my primary objective was to surpass the expectations of my manager/supervisor in the above listed areas, and ultimately make a positive contribution to the Test Engineering Department at Cummins FBU. These goals were challenging to meet, especially because of the brevity of my co-op tenure.…

This letter is intended to help me figure out what skills I have learned in this class, and what skills I was lacking and had already obtained coming into this class. This is my first year in college, but I had many of my teachers in high school that prepared me for the rigorous calculus course. I took calculus AB my senior year of high school, so I had all of the skills I needed prior to entering this class. I knew the Limit, Derivative, and Anti-Derivative topics, and in depth.…

Over the past three months, class ENC1101 has taught me some major lessons in English writing. My expectation coming into this class was to become a better writer, at least in my eyes. The different writing assignments were helpful to me using research and asking questions when I was stuck. My progression has included me writing essays, MLA format as well as discussing classmate’s papers, and becoming open to others criticisms about my work. Most importantly I have learned how important English is.…

In order to most correctly write my memo entitled, “A Change of Heart”, I first, had to read “Marley and Me”, a memo in the form of a novel, by John Grogan. Since I had no prior education, or help, on learning how to correctly write a memo, this book helped immensely. While reading this book I learned literary techniques that helped in the making of this memo. By reading this book before writing my memo, I learned how to pull inspiration and use dialogue in this specific context, use different literary techniques in order to draw the reader into the work, what to talk about, and what not to talk about. While reading the book, “Marley and Me”, by John Grogan, I learned that in order to help the memo flow better I would have to pull inspiration from my life.…

    1) What are you expecting to see and learn on your placement? My experiences in Ceduna form some of my preconceptions of rural teaching, prior to my placement at Port Augusta Secondary School (PASS). I recognise that the stereotypes held by many about Port Augusta as a low socio-economic regional town has influenced my expectations. I am also aware of the higher rates of poverty, unemployment, and indigenous population in the Far North of South Australia (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2010).…

    Essay About English Class

This English class has been very helpful in my efforts to improve my writing abilities, but has also been very challenging due to there being a different median for every essay. It’s been a heavy work load especially this semester since I decided to enroll in five classes, but in the end it has been very beneficial indeed. I can’t say that writing essays has been one of my strong points but I believe that this course has helped me improve tremendously and it has also made me feel a lot more comfortable with my writing. While in high school I would usually write all of my essays a day before the due date a habit of mine that was very difficult to overcome, but now I have learned from my mistakes.…

When it comes to writing, I should begin by saying that it is not my favorite subject. I am more of a math or science person, give me equations or graphs any day over papers and essays. Now although I feel this way, I would like to think of myself as a decent writer. I have always done well in my English classes and on my papers and essays for those classes, but doing something well and enjoying it while you are doing it is two different things. I would not say that I hate English and writing- that is too strong of a word- I would just say that it is not what I would prefer to do.…
