EMS System Personal Statement

Both my work and educational experience has influenced my knowledge of EMS system components and operational design. Since December of 2008, I have been functioning in an EMS system. I started out in a fire-based EMS system, where I volunteered as an EMT/Firefighter. Shortly after, I started working for a private EMS agency. I initially functioned as an EMT-Basic, until I obtained my paramedic license and started functioning in both a private EMS system as well as a fire-based EMS system as a career paramedic.

Starting with education, I completed my bachelor’s degree from UMBC in EHS Paramedic, which prepared me to take my paramedic licensure examination. It also gave me introductory knowledge in leadership, supervision, research, as well
