The results of all the tests led to an unreliable prototype. The purpose of this report is to identify and analyze the main traits which have caused the EFV to become a failure. Once the problems are identified, a solution can be made and taken to consideration by companies doing similar projects so they won’t fall under the same steps of failure. Research has been made to help us identify the background history of general dynamics, the data of the EFV project, an overall analysis of the EFV project, and a recommendation.

The climate fostered by AFHQ leadership significantly contributed to the disjointedness and confusion in very linear environment and opposed by an inferior force. Command and control and integration shortcomings may not as easily be overcome in the increasingly complex and uncertain environment within which joint forces will operate today. Current doctrine has captured the hard-earned lessons from HUSKY and mitigates many of the issues encountered in that campaign. For example, land, air, and maritime forces do not operate autonomously but instead are integrated into joint force component commands (JFLCC, JFACC, and JFMCC) under a joint force commander. Best practices such as mission command and integration of joint functions are essential for the Joint Force to fight and win in today’s operating…

The Pentagon noted that the F-35 program led to exceed the approved budget, making to exceed the defense procurement budget is inevitable, and the costs become unreasonable. After all, this is the F-35 program plan, analysts have long argued about the ambiguous performance of the F-35, because it has to meet many requirements. The Gulf War and, to a lesser degree, the Kosovo air campaign demonstrated that advanced technologies have brought very significant changes to how war is waged. Intelligence sensors, precision navigation data and communications gave commanders unprecedented situational awareness. This situational awareness, coupled with precision-guided weapons, proved devastating. The major significance of these advanced technologies is not that they incrementally increase the capabilities of existing forces but, rather, that they radically shift the sources of military effectiveness.…

The new technologies have integrated many sectors of combat system industries which needs a high level of qualification. Naomi Verdugo and Nehama E. Babin write in “The Impact of Advanced Technology on the U.S. Military”, that it is mandatory to adapt the skills of manpower to the requirements of new technologies. It will demand greater knowledge and more sophisticated skills than are presently. For instance, computer systems and networks remain advanced technology which is used now in the majority of telecommunication systems thus radically changing the profile of the users of these systems from soldiers to operators. This also will generate the need for skilled personnel in the maintenance sector because of the greater sophistication of new systems.…
