ECG Machine: Reassessment Analysis

During a reassessment the ECG machine during stage 4 of the Modified Bruce protocol stopped working due to technical difficulties. This caused the patient to present frustration and irritation when he was informed that the following week he would need to be reexamined. He was very hesitant in being a part of it the first time and was not wanting to go through the hassle of it occurring again. He explained how he does not enjoy it and had already had one done by his cardiologist two months previously and was unaware of why he needed to be doing another one. After providing him with the information on why he was in need of doing one inside the clinic and of it’s significant importance and benefits to us when comparing his pervious results and to see where he may need progression or improvements. He became more reasonable with the idea of re-siting the reassessment again, this is the point where Jesse intervened and further persuaded the client on the benefits and necessity of the reassessment. He did not value the importance of the reassessment and this allowed me to have some experience in using information that I have learnt in a persuasive manner in order for a client to want to adhere to and to better understand the recommendations that are given and their benefits. I was able to slightly persuade then client by being confident in what I was trying to get address. I have noticed that I have improved on my confidence when speaking to clients and giving then information and I have noticed a greater level of understanding and willingness to adhere from my clients. It allows me to sound more acknowledgeable and that I am providing the correct information to address problems that may
