Implementing EBP into a clinical setting can be somewhat difficult. It not only takes time, but a group of people to support the initiative. To help increase EBP I would take a few important steps within my facility. First, I would find other staff members to help me with my strategy. Engaging staff from all levels is important because each individual brings forth new opportunities and ideas. As a group we will need to promote our EBP to others within the hospital to let them know how it can benefit patient care. “Highlighting the positive characteristics of an EBP change such as the anticipated advantage of the change and the compatibility with group values can promote awareness and interest among clinicians” (Cullen & Adams, 2012, p. 224).
