I just recently went to a training with OT, PT, SLP, and nurses and they were sharing the importance of EBP. I was reminded that not just in nursing profession that EBP is utilized and recognized as best practice within many health care professions. From that and this course, my future learning goals for EBP will be actively and consciously utilize the EBP process and incorporate into daily practice as a practitioner. Also, it is critical to remember the shared decision-making process as well as five steps for EBP (1. Ask, 2. Acquire, 3. Appraise, 4. Apply, 5. Analyze) when I will be working with future client or patient.
