Now in order for a family to be successful, both parents must be present. The father is the authority figure and the mother’s the compassionate figure. Now without the father, the child will most likely be a delinquent and without the mother; the child will most likely be a future serial killer. Emotionally, infancy is crucial to the proper development of the adult personality (Vronsky 2004). The first twelve months are especially critical to the development of emotions such as remorse and affection. If a child does not receive adequate attention and physical touch during this time period they may suffer substantial personality disorders in the future (Canter 2005).
