Communist society Vs. Capitalist society Life in the U.S. would be completely different if communism won in World War 2. Ayn Rand is an author that escaped from the communist Soviet Union. She wrote a book titled Anthem showing a horrific dystopian society ruled by communism. In this book the main character is a boy named Equality who lives in this dystopian society. Equality’s society is regressive compared to U.S. society because of freedom of profession, education, and diversity. A person in the United States is free to try and study for any job they want. They are also allowed to try for a new job if they are unhappy with their current one. Diversity is a very encouraged subject in U.S. society. The U.S. society consists of many different cultures, colors, languages, and dialects. The society also has a different personality from each person. Education is a very encouraged subject in the United States. People are pushed and encouraged to stay in school and try your best to succeed in their classes. People who receive an education are offered many more opportunities and advantages over the people who don't receive an education. Clearly the U.S. has many differences in how it is handled compared to Equality’s society. Obviously Equality’s society is regressive compared to U.S. society. Equality’s society discourages education and diversity, and also the freedom to pursue your own profession. These 2 societies seem to be almost exact opposites in how things are
