The health care system is dealing with a dysfunctional lack of capacity. This is because of the lack of ER beds to place patients and long waiting times. To create more bed capacity would result in spending more taxpayer money. Wait times occur because of patients who need to go through long procedures, which take up health care professionals time. This results in other people waiting longer. These issues cause health care workers to improvise on the patient’s care. Your life is basically on the line. It all counts on if the services needed are at a capacity when they need them. This article resonates with me because I always experience long wait times when I go to see a health care worker.
