Dynamic Character In Romeo And Juliet

Juliet Capulet, a young 13 year old girl from a rich family in Verona who falls in love her enemy, sound familiar? That’s because most people know that she is one of the main characters in Romeo and Juliet, a play written by William Shakespeare. In the tale of Romeo and Juliet, Juliet falls in love with her enemy, Romeo, the son of the Capulet’s age-old enemies. They get married after falling in love, and Romeo kills her cousin Tybalt, for doing that Romeo is banished from Verona. Juliet makes a plan so that they can be together. In the end Romeo thinks Juliet is dead, so he kills himself, and then she wakes up and sees that he is dead so she kills herself as well. This is a play known as a tragedy, which would make sense as to why Juliet is such a dynamic character. She starts off as naive, curious, independent, playful/witty, then moves to being love-struck, loyal, mature, and then foolish and impatient. Juliet is very lovestruck, even more than before, she’s very loyal to Romeo, and she becomes more mature. Her being lovestruck is shown many times throughout this play, she even marries Romeo. She is very mature, she realizes that she loves him, so she marries him, and that they should try to end the feud between the families. Right after they got married, Romeo kills her cousin Tybalt because he killed his friend Mercutio. Juliet is very mature and waits to hear what he has to say before jumping to conclusions. This also shows how loyal she is to Romeo, she chose him over her family, over Tybalt, and she is willing to be completely cut off from her family for him.
