Why did they do it The tragedy happened at columbine high school in april 1999 was an event that many will never forget. Many questions were left unanswered as to why Dylan and Eric did what they did and how many signs were missed. Dylan was not a happy teen although he was a social and had many friends. He often wrote about how miserable and depressed he was. In the book he wrote,¨i get more depressed with each day.¨ (cullen,2009) Dylan was a hopeless romantic, who would also write about his crush and how he felt as if she didn´t even notice him, which made him want to die.
