After a long and stressful free agency period, which resulted in many failed negotiations and lot of rumors, Wade has finally reached his decision, to sign with his hometown Chicago.
The decision must not have been easy for Wade as he had drawn too much buzz and attention from various NBA teams, and some of them were ready to offer him more than the Heat can put on the table. For the Miami Heat, the problem was cap space as the team lacks the money that Wade was looking for.

I have never forgotten where I came from and I am thankful to have an opportunity to play for the team that first fueled my love of the game.
I started my NBA career with the Miami Heat in 2003 and it has been an honor to have played with them and help build a winning franchise with three NBA championships.
