Like “yet” it’s neither bad nor good but it’s just right, it encourages you. You also have to push yourself to be the best you can be. Your mind grows every time you challenge yourself you have to challenge yourself in order to become better at who you are or who you want to become. There are people who give up to quickly because certain situations seem difficult and then they live their whole life taking the easy way out. Then there are others that push themselves to use their mind to the limit learn more and are more efficient in life. You have to have a positive mentality too if you say “I can’t do it” without even trying your mind is not being tested to its limit and it becomes more difficult for you to even try. In life you learn something every day you just have to have an open mind, be positive, and be able to take a challenge. …show more content…

Friday was the big test day. When I entered the classroom, I overheard some of my peers lament about how tired they were from staying up so late trying to study. I was confident that I would do great, and yet a small part of me was still nervous that I would fail. When our instructor handed out the tests only the sound of pencil scratching paper could be heard. When we completed our tests we were allowed to leave, so when I finished mine I was out in a flash.…

“Strength and growth only come only through continuous effort and struggle” - Napoleon Hill. As a Sophomore I took 1 challenging class, which was an honors class, because I was afraid of struggling and fear of failing. I was almost mentally accepting that I would never have the capability or succeed in Honors classes and AP classes. This class was Honors Chemistry, it was extremely difficult and I tried everything I could possibly do to try to be successful in that class. I did extra homework, staying after school, and staying up remarkably late just to try to understand a concept that others seemed to fathom so easily. The feeling of failure for anyone is not an enjoyable feeling, it mostly can cause a stress on your life, when you know you are able to succeed. From then on, I knew it wasn't going to be easy and that I would need a growth mindset if I ever wanted to reach my dreams of becoming a highway patrol officer.…
