Who comes to your mind think of a ‘homemaker’ and ‘CEO’? Maybe, if you were not enlightened about gender or live in an advanced society, about the former, you would recall a woman, and the latter, a man. It is not because you have patriarchal values and think that women can’t do as well as men. It is just because you have lived in the society, exists the glass ceiling, especially in Korea, in addition to difficulty in career advancement, women are being violated even a social opportunities.
My two aunts graduated a good four-year-course college, got a good job and earned good income. However, after they had a baby, they quit their good jobs and became housewives. Although their children are older than 10 and don’t need a
