Guards admit that the environmental stress might lead them to take it out on the prisoners. Visiting spaces and hours are crowded, and as there are not enough guards to put on this duty, the lines for waiting visitors are sometimes unendurable, specially for children and the elderly. As prisoners are shifted to different facilities, guards do not know them as well, and the lack of trust creates paranoia for both sides. Body searches are regularly conducted which mean they have to be nude and possibly cavity searched. As one inmate said, "someone is always hassling you" (he might be referring to prisoners as well as guards and staff).
