Register to read the introduction… We make sure that children are safe from having any accidents. We ensure that we maintain a hygienic and safe environment for children, parents and staff. We ensure and participate in improving each child's physical, social, emotional, intellectual development by observing them and having an interest in what they do. We prevent from having any discrimination and/or stereotyping in our nursery by respecting all of the cultures/background, religion, race, children with special needs. By preventing children from discriminating we have different culture dressings, different cultures (pretend plastic food) in the role play area and displays of different cultures, pictures of people/children with different races, special need people and we have different cultures/religions symbols. By promoting this we show good impact on children of how to respect people and be good to each other. For example the early year’s foundation stage requires that children should have a healthy diet and food which have good nutrients but the child might not like that type of food because their parents/guardian do not keep a diet similar to the EYFS then it could be difficult for the children to have healthy food but if the staff and parents have a one to one session together where the staff/manager could explain to the parents/guardian that they should try and support their child to eat healthy food. If the parent listen to the advice of the staff/manger then it would be good for their child and the nursery staff and manger. Parent/guardian could have a conflict or dilemmas about their child for example if a child hurts themselves by accidentally then because of that reason the child’s parents/guardian can get angry with staff member but if the staff then apologies and tell the child’s parents/guardian that their child got hurt by accidentally and for next time they will make sure that take care and be aware that their child are more safer, also if the staff assures the parent/guardian that their child can be safe in the nursery environment then it will make them satisfied for example in our and all nursery settings have facilities such as first aid and do risk assessment for
