Regulation has three main points to it which are: 1. defining the rules 2. communication and clarifying those rules 3. enforcing the rules. Now regulation in the family life is usually done by the heads of the home which are the parents, they simply establish rules in which they think will help the children succeed in life, many things that parents regulate are such as not being disrespectful to others, a way that parents can communicate and calcify that rule is to set good examples of being respectful to others of if the child is being disrespectful let them know and show them how they should be acting properly. Enforcement of that rule could be some sort of punishment like when I was little and I was disrespectful to someone I would have to write them an apology letter and then stay in my room for the rest of the night. By making sure that someone follows through with the 3 steps in regulation it helps create a stronger sense of …show more content…

It is common for wars to have lasting impacts on the society, especially to those who engage in the war. The American situation was peculiar considering that the country took a leading role in the World War II that ended up defining the fate of the country as a world superpower. As the most valued social fabric, the family had a bigger role to play during the war.…

Functionalist sociologists, such as Emile Durkheim, project a consensus theory on society. However the idea of consensus, when it comes to suicide, doesn’t fit perfectly. Durkheim addressed this within his work through a book he wrote a book called “Le suicide”. This book states that the idea of suicide being a product of individuality, meaning only individuals have power on whether they decided to commit suicide or not, is actually an illusion and that society itself has massive amounts of influence on that decision although on the other hand he did state that the act itself is an extremely personal and is solidarity action. He addressed psychological factors within his work and said that they they do have manipulation on the brain causing…

It is unfair because why should the lower and middle class work so hard to just make the rich look better. Which leads us to another discussion, is there even a middle class anymore? Who is the middle class?…
