During the skateboarding craze, many objects, furniture and boards got damaged, broken or even stolen. Many outside benches and chairs were damaged or broken because of skaters (Josh
Vogel). Lots of the skateparks have been torn down due to the damage (The evolution of skateboarding). Many skaters were damaging private property, which not only causes messes for the owners, but also could result in them being sued for injuries (Skateboarding attitude). Other parks and schools were starting to ban skateboards altogether (Josh Vogel). Many people thought that the kids who skateboard were up to no good and saw them as bad people (Skateboarding attitude). However over the years skateboards have given children, teens and some adults ways to travel
