During the Industrial Revolution people worked 11-12 hour days, witch for most was a rediculous ammount of time. No one understood the benifits of giving you workers a shorter day. What the shorter day did was enhance the workers rate of work, along with the raised profits of there companys. This is do to how a human works. People figured out that most humans can only really stay focused for 90 - 120 minutes at a time before they must take a break and recharge. I personally believe that these companys are taking the correct steps to helping there employees and companys run happy and strong. An example is that the Sweden's Kiruna district council noticed they had to impliment longer hour days do to the expence of hiring workers to cover non filled shifts. Along with this people noticed the health of workers decresing, a loss in wages but the work productivity did rise. Some people believe shorter days work better for there companys and some people think the oppisite. I my opinion the shorter work days worked better for everyone in the end.
