The Dunkin’ Donuts franchise that was chosen for this project is in Tomball, Texas, and it is one of the busiest locations in the Tomball and Spring area. Both Tomball and Spring are parts of the Greater Houston area. According to Suburban Stats the population in the Tomball area is around 10,753.
Within the city of Houston and the area of Greater Houston, there are roughly 30 locations of Dunkin’ Donuts and each location has a major role in serving their customers with soothing drinks and delicious meals. It was reported in 2010, 54% of adults that are over the age of 18 drink coffee every day. This shows the popularity of coffee within the United States. In addition, when considering the locations of Dunkin’ Donuts across the United States, the New York and New England area come to mind the most. This is because, in reality, 95% of America’s Dunkin’ Donut shops are located on the East Coast.

Dunkin’ Brands has a foundation called The Joy in Childhood Foundation (formerly The Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation). This organization has donated over $11 million to hundreds of national and local charities. The organization also raises funds to support partnerships with hospitals, food banks, and non-profit organizations that help children.
Dunkin’ Donuts also signed a sponsorship deal with the National Women’s Hockey League to support women’s ability to play hockey. Dunkin’ Donuts has a long hockey heritage as it sponsors teams and arenas with a hot cup of coffee whenever people are playing or in the stands. This will further increase Dunkin’s popularity within America’s sport fanbase. Dunkin’ Donuts also sponsors male professional sports teams which increases the popularity of Dunkin’. Those teams are the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, New York Mets, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tampa Bay
