Dune is a movie adaptation from the book written Frank Herbert. On a September Friday night my dad, my little brother Josh and I watched Dune. We watched Dune on the couch on the family room on the Tv, and we watched it because my dad told me it was a worthy sci-fi movie. That is how I saw Dune. So David Lynch took many of the main plot points in the book to shorten down the movie. So this is the plot of Dune: Padishah Emperor Shaddam lV is commanded by the Traveler to destroy the House Atratis because they have an army and they could take them over. The Traveler transports people to different worlds. The Traveler tells The Emperor that he must send House Atratis to the planet Arrakis. Arrakis is the planet which holds the spice that extends life. While on Arrakis, House Atratis is ambushed by their main rival, the Harkonnens. During the ambush, the Duke is killed. His son, Paul Atratis and his mom go into the desert. Paul was supposed to be a girl so he could have married someone from the Harkonnens and end the war. While on the run, Paul and his mom meet the natives. Paul shows peace with them and they form an alliance. The Alliance is named the Fighters. For the Atrats new army, they made a new weapon using sound. So the Fighter's primary weapon is the sound gun. The natives had a prophecy of a misia that would come and set them free and the chosen one must drink from the water of life. If they are not the one then they will die. So to get the full trust of the natives Paul drinks from the water. So, will Paul get revenge on the Emperor and Harkonnens for killing his father?
