Dunder Mifflin Inc. was established in 1949 by Robert Dunder and Robert Mifflin. The co-founders met on a tour at Dartmouth College and decided to create a paper company after seeing the demand for office supplies on campus. Today Dunder Mifflin is multimillion dollar company that dominates the east coast. Dunder Mifflin’s main competition is from rival companies Office Max and Staples. In 2012, CEO Michael R. Williams took command of the company and has revamped the company’s loose morals and questionable business practices. In 2014, Dunder Mifflin was recognized as one of the best companies to work for in America. The company will encourage employees to raise questions or concerns with management and will provide assistance and information to managers to help them to respond appropriately.
2. The Dunder Mifflin Ethics Helpline will be provided as a confidential means of communication separate from line management available to employees to discuss any ethics or compliance question or concern, to seek clarification or assistance about the Dunder Mifflin standards of conduct, or to report potential wrongdoing or incorrect behavior in the company.
3. Retaliation against employees who come forward to raise concerns will not be tolerated. Threats or acts of retribution against any employee for proper use of any company reporting mechanism is cause for appropriate discipline, up to and including termination.
