This article is very personal since it deals with a population which I am a part of and identify with. Therefore, it was exciting to learn what implications this mixture of race and sexual orientation can have on an individual. The authors of the article were interested specifically on how Latino and Asian American lesbian, gay, and bisexual adults were affected by their dual minority statuses. It is generally thought that this combination generates a greater vulnerability to the mental health consequences of discrimination (Cochran et al., 2007).
