Dual Enrollment In High School

As a dual enrollment student, I soon became aware of the high expectations that were set for us students. Evidently while becoming a dual enrollment, I began to prioritize and learned to efficiently manage my time, so I could adjust to the standards and expectations designated by the district. However, many other factors came into play such as: recreational activities, balancing school work, maintaining personal and social relationships as well as household and family responsibilities.
Despite complicated schedules, recreational activities, such as band, has taken a huge toll in my life that has been both beneficial and exhausting. As a result of having most of my high school year spent in a band hall, I successfully discovered the trick to complete schoolwork and work for my dual enrollment courses. For instance, after another sleepless night the beginning of my freshman year of high school, I adjusted my work ethic and completed half of my school and dual enrollment work at school before practice. On account of having limited time and an intense work ethic, prioritizing had been difficult since I was younger and less mature. To illustrate, after a football game, a couple of friends and I decided to go out to eat and hang out. Since I am prone to forgetting anything, I forgot to complete an assignment for my general psychology course. When I checked Blackboard a few days later, a wave of disappointment washed over me. However, I did not regret going out that night because I enjoyed quality time with my friends without feeling anxious about work.
