Dual Enrollment Analysis

Check with the school board for a list of tests required, since new tests are being added each year.
These tests are not a requirement for private school students. My sons took the EOC Algebra1 and Geometry tests while in middle school, since it was a requirement for the public school if they had to return. Dual Enrollment

If the strategy is to homeschool through high school, it is ideal that they dual enroll at a local university and also sign up with an accredited online school for the important classes. My younger son took seven high school classes during middle school, all through accredited institutions and there was no problem transferring those credits into Florida Atlantic University High School.

To whom it may concern: This letter is to request my reinstatement to University of Maryland University College. My poor academic performance was not just a bad reflection of myself but also of what knowledge I should have been able to show I learned from taking intriguing classes. I have never been a person to give up and usually go full force with anything I would like to pursue. This may not be the best description; however, I believe I may have hit my own version of a mid-life crisis.…

“Why I Chose Southwest” As a homeschooled high school senior, I am unable to take Advanced Placement courses, which are college-level classes taken at a high school. Students earn college credits by taking an exam at the end of the year. To remedy this, I decided to register at Southwest Tennessee Community College for dual enrollment classes. I chose Southwest for a multitude of reasons: to complete my high school education, to provide challenging courses in preparation for college, and to grant me college credit. I opted to take Pre Calculus, English Composition, and Anatomy & Physiology this semester.…

A Hero's Journey The last month of summer before my junior year started was occupied with pondering and wondering what I wanted to accomplish during the upcoming school year. Sure, junior year sounds like a blast, filled with fun memories and friends. But it also doubles as approaching the cliff of adulthood that I would hit in two short years. Every step I take my junior and senior year will be one step closer to that ledge.…

In “Why Elite-College Admissions Need an Overhaul”, Jonathan R. Cole, the author of the essay, made a very strong argument on why the college admissions process is not right or fair. Within his argument, Cole states what elite colleges look for now, why what they look for is wrong, and what colleges should do instead of their current process to prove his point. I agree with Cole in his statement that the college admissions process needs an overhaul because there are some phenomenal students who are being looked over by colleges. Although I agree with his statements, I do not necessarily agree with the way Cole thinks the process should be.…

Rep. Perales meetings on Friday 2/17: Key points Greene County Superintends and Legislator Meeting: • Majority of superintends oppose new tests suggested in the new budget because: - In addition to the tests required by the federal and state regulations, schools have internal pre-requisite screening and tests for certain class. Students take up to 30 tests already. - Parents and students are tired and complaining about excessive testing - Tests are proven to be ineffective instead creativity, problem solving, and acquiring soft skills should be encouraged • Superintends find the top-down approach to education ineffective.…

To start off, I chose to talk to my father and mother about which ESOL tests they had/have administered over the years. It is important to list their credentials and they are as follows: My mother works with special educational needs children including those who have language difficulties. She has worked one-on-one with a young child (six years of age) and she has had various experiences with a multitude of students. My father on the other hand was a teacher who became a principle.…

Hi Delise, Yes, I think a child should attend the school that is going to benefit their education the most. The main focus should always be on the best education possible for the child. However, I do have a problem with home schooling, it seem to cut off the one thing kids really need, communication and interaction with other kids their own age. Interacting and communication skills are very important for the student, and I am not sure home schooling is the best idea. I also find it kind of funny how teachers must attend college to obtain a teaching certificate, but to home school your child does require this certificate, it makes no sense to me.…

One of the areas that I am having difficulties handling in the classroom is determining when I should be flexible and when I should stand my ground. I have discovered that if I allow students to turn assignments in late, they tend to take advantage of my kindness. Additionally, I have found myself returning incomplete work to students and requesting them to complete it before submitting it back to me. I have not deducted points for their late or incomplete work, which has created an unfair atmosphere for the students that do submit their work on time and in a thorough manner. I have become frustrated with the students who expect to resubmit their subpar work for a better grade.…

Education plays an important role in everyone’s future and lives; therefore, parents should make sure that their kids receive a proper education. A majority of parents would choose public school as an education for their kids. However, parents might also choose homeschooling for their kids for certain reasons. Either way, both public schooling and homeschooling have less in common than most people think. In both, students might receive the same education but go through many different physical and social aspects.…
