I didn't know what was wrong, but it felt like something was. A chill crawled down my spine, and I found myself picking up pace until I had broken out into a run, miraculously not stumbling on the uneven forest ground. I could tell I was getting closer to where I had left Beck because I could just about detect the baritone tone of his voice, carried towards me by the breeze. This alarmed me rather than comforted me; he was not alone.
My suspicions were confirmed when I heard a sound that had become so familiar to me over the last five months- the clash of metal that rang out when two blades were struck together. Instinctively, my hands crossed over to my back, unsheathing dual blades from identical scabbards. Both were long, slender katana
