DST helps the Americans by, saving energy of course, but that helped more in the past than it does right now. DST gives you more time in the daylight to play and have fun. It feels like longer days, but sometimes people think that that's a bad thing, and don’t enjoy the nice longs days. We also get more sunlight. The roads are a lot safer in the daylight, it reduces less accidents because we can see where we are driving better than in the dark. DST lets us just relax and enjoy the late night sunsets.
