Dry Run Exam

In every form of science, a background criteria is needed to form any sort of discovery, experiment, paper, etc. The criteria that is used is known as the Scientific Method. Though International Relations (IR) does not sound like it falls under the category of “science,” it is still considered a form of science because it studies a specific category and is often broken down using the Scientific Method. In this paper the scientific method will be explained and how it can be used in a given situation. Each section of the scientific method will be looked at and each step will be explained thoroughly. The Scientific Method has 4 sections of work; first, a theory is created to give an explanation of why the

Most often these stories are neither true nor false. It is essentially the most important part of the scientific method because that is what the experiment and tests are based off of. These theories must be complete in the sense that one is able to test its information and create a complete explanation of the gathered data. To be a scientific theory, it must be able to be proved with legit, observable facts. In IR, when you come up with a theory, it has to be proved with facts from history. One example of the scientific method is the story of Aristotle and his geocentric theory. In this theory Aristotle and Ptolemy proposed that the Earth was the center of the Universe. The Crystalline spheres, which in ancient times was transparent sphere that lied in the heavens, were the other planets, moon and sun. He proposed that they circled the Earth in a Celestial circular motion. The stars were said to be fixed objects that moved in a Terrestrial linear motion. But like it can happen with any hypothesis, this was continually proved wrong over time. One example is Galileo’s discovery of Jupiter’s moons waxing and waning around it. This shows that though a theory may seem correct, many times they can be disproved by continued research and

I believe that God has predestined our salvation, rather than us having the free will to chose when and how it happens. The Bible stated clearly that God has “predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,” (Ephesians 1:5). God must have predestined history at least to a precise point, in order for His prophecies to be fulfilled. He indicated many times that He had sent Jesus to earth for just that reason.…

The 24-hour social media challenge actually made me grow as a person. The 24-hour challenge opened my eyes to many things like there is more than life than your phone and that when you are using your phone you don’t socialize. I even went to the gym with my mom and sister to keep myself distracted which that was a good two-hour workout. As a person that just uses your phone 24/7, you don’t realize what is around you.…

Historians and International Relations scholars have long had a relationship that allows for interworking, while distinct differences still remain separating the two. In studying the past, a historian and an international relations scholar would take into account the past as a force that generates the questions and theories of both parties. On the other hand, there lies a difference in the way that the historian would place more emphasis on recounting history and international events for their own sake. The IR scholars would contrastingly use historical events as ways to additionally supporting or discrediting a theoretical hypothesis they have proposed. In this way, their differences in methodology and objectives can be highlighted.…
