In summary, on 04/18/16 at 1955 hours, Ofc. E. Lara #244, Ofc. P. Koc #245, J. Alvarez #295, and I were dispatched to 5147 W Roosevelt Rd. in regards to two (2) subjects sleeping inside a vehicle. Upon arrival, I observed a male and female subject sleeping inside a vehicle with the front windows rolled down (05' Chevy IL Z729164) parked next to the gas pump. Two (2) photos were taken of the sleeping subjects and later placed into inventory. I observed the vehicle to be shifted in drive with the sleeping male's foot on the brake. Ofc. J. Alvarez shifted the vehicle in park as I made contact with the male driver. I woke the driver up by tapping him on the shoulder, at which time he awoke scratching his face vigorously with both hands. I observed the driver to have droopy eyelids and puncture marks on his arms consisted with drug use. I requested a driver's license and insurance. The driver was identified as …show more content…
E. Lara #244 made contact with the cashier (Hernandez, Selena DOB 02/22/97) at the Marathon Gas Station. Selena related that she was advised by four (4) customers that Richard and Amanda were sleeping in their vehicle, at which time she contacted Cicero Police. Richard agreed to perform several field sobriety tests. The tests were conducted on a dry, hard, level, non-slippery surface well lighten off the roadway (see supplement). Richard was placed into custody at 1819 hours, at which time he was transported to the Cicero Police Lock-up to be processed. During an inventory search of the vehicle two (2) glass pipes, one (1) metal spoon, and one (1) syringe were recovered from the back seat of the vehicle in a black plastic bag. These items were recovered and later placed into inventory. The vehicle was towed by Tuff Towing (16-2280). An D.U.I. impound packet was completed on the vehicle. Amanda was released on the scene.
