Persuasive Essay In 2013, 10,076 people were killed in drunk driving accidents (MADD). Out of those 10,076 people, 2,577 of those deaths were on Wisconsin roads (CDC). There are three major reasons why drunk drivers should be taken off the roads. First of all, without drunk drivers behind the wheel, lives would be saved. Another reason is the offender would learn more of a lesson with a significant punishment rather than a warning. The final reason is this consequence would help with prevention of drunk driving cases in the future. When a drunk is caught behind the wheel of a vehicle, they should automatically have their license revoked for a year.
