As a medication, methamphetamine would reduce the body’s cravings for food. Patients with ADHD were referred to prescribed meth to replace the need for self-stimulate with intense focus and calmness. However, the drug easily became a crutch and was found as highly addictive. The experience of meth would give a rush akin to that of epinephrine with an increased heart rate, metabolism, and blood pressure.
