Although, the client has been discovered using marijuana and my client is doing the all the other things required by the courts and the parole board. The use of drugs is illegal, and in our department, there is a no- tolerance rule. As a parole or probation officer when the results came back from the drug test I would have to sit my client down and let them know that they made a big mistake in their life again. It is important for me to tell them that drugs will not in no shape or form be tolerated and that I will have to revoke their parole or probation regardless of the hard work and how well my client has been doing. I will have my client arrested for drug use which is a violation of the court ruling and parole or probation status.
