There are so many people that struggle with addiction, if you could help them would you? There are many times that drug addiction has taken someone from a family, a sibling, a child from a parent, a parent from the child, and even just a friend from everyone 's lives. Drugs can be more than just something people struggle with as they can be deadly if not controlled and stopped before it’s too late. Drugs also lead to the spread of serious diseases that can affect everyone in the surrounding areas such as HIV and other deadly drug related diseases. “Drug abuse treatment can be an important strategy for reducing exposure to HIV among injection drug users by facilitating abstinence from drugs or a reduction in drug injection frequency.”(Siegal, Carlson, Falck, & Jichuanwhich. 1998. Par. 1) This is why here needs to be something that is available for people to go to when they are in need for their problem to be solved and a lower chance for them to receive something like HIV. With a rehabilitation center for people to go after rehab we could not only be continuing the process to their recovery but possibly saving their lives. There are many different ways this could help the people with the issues that are struggling, along with benefitting the community. The possibilities of things that will benefit the community tremendously outway the negatives of what will happen if this proposal is given the help it needs and deserves.
