In 2012 there were over 100 students who dropped out of SharpsTown high school in Houston, Texas every year,but that changed when this program called Apollo went to that school. While at the school Apollo rook four of the worse kids and helped them anyway they could. They counseled them and even helped them get to and from school. Which got me thinking about my school life and where i’ll be going in the next five years.

Some common traits the students share is that they have bad grades and their attendance rates. But the students also have things not common. Like Sparkle, she is basically homeless and has a kid but Marcus and and the others don’t have a kid. But they are all doing better in school and trying to graduate.

I need to focus on my school work and not on any distractions. If I focus on other things other than my school work then I won’t get anything done.

Someone once asked me what respect meant to me, well respect means you are not rude to anyone especially teachers and elders. Being respectful doesn’t mean you help a classmate one time, it means respect what others has to say, not being rude,and doing what you are told to do. It also means being polite when adults talk to you.
My attitude toward life is going with the flow in a way. If you got with the flow you’ll probably have less to worry about and more time to have fun. Also, you need to have fun in life or you’ll be stressed out and a lot of times it will be over nothing. If you’re always stressed out then life will just seem a lot harder than it actually is.

In conclusion, in my school there are a lot of teachers who help me to be successful in my school life. In SharpsTown the teachers are helping more students to be successful as well. Also I don’t think my school needs the Apollo program because most students are already
