Drones aren’t only used for recreational or military purposes. There are many ways drones can become essential for commercial use. There are eight popular industries that have already started using drones or having been considering using them. Hollywood filmmakers have already started using drones to film movies. Drones offer filming from different angles that they could never reach before. Energy companies have been considering drones because it’s easier and safer to inspect their facilities. Two companies in Alaska were granted permission from the FAA to use drones to detect pipeline leaks and inspect offshore facilities. Utility companies could also use drones to monitor powerlines. Drones can turn shipments from a couple day process into a couple hour process. Not only will those companies will use drones for delivery. Restaurants will use drones for delivery dinners, any takeout restaurant will use drones to deliver, grocery stores could deliver small orders, the possibilities are endless. The next industry looking to use drones are any category of sports. NFL already has the approval from FFA to use drones to film games. Using drones to film sports will create a whole new experience to the audience. The game would be able to be watched from every angle and nothing would ever be hidden again. The last industry that drones can seriously improve is surveillance or even law enforcement. Security firms could replace stationary security cameras with drones that roam around the facilities they are protecting, eliminating blind spots, and taking security guards out of harm’s way. Law enforcement could even use drones to track down criminals way easier and safer than having police officers chase them at dangerous speeds or helicopters flying around until the criminal is
