In the year 1916, British inventor Archibald Low invented radio controlled aircrafts that was used for a “aerial torpedoes” to counter German Zeppelin airships and ground attacks, initiating the beginning of the UAV industry.. In the early 1900’s the life expectancy of an airmail pilot was around only 4 years. After World War 1 ended, Standard E-1 fighter jets were converted into drones.
