Driving is something everyone will have to do in their lifetime. To make the experience safer, states implement new restrictions and laws. Raising the minimum driving age are one of the approaches states take to defend the live of drivers. The Restrictions and laws already set for teen drivers effectively make them safer, demonstrating there is no need to lower the minimum age. Over the years, new courses and restrictions that specifically target sixteen and seventeen years olds have assisted in saving lives. With states adopting the new laws and restrictions highway fatalities have seen a steep drop of thirty percent (Connor).
