The first reason this is a not a good idea is because raising the driving age is unfair to everyone else. Think about it. You have waited sixteen years to be able to drive, but guess what the driving age was raised and you have to wait longer. Sadly, I have to partially agree. If you go to any high school or just any school for that matter, teenagers are doing drugs and drinking at such a young age. This can affect their driving but it's not just them. Adults do drugs, and drink and drive and while we do punish them for there crimes its teengers that get the bad rap and here is what I mean. Say and normal adult goes out drinking and driving well they get caught and they might pay and fine and maybe might lose their licence but that would be after multiple offences. Say and teenger does the same thing and gets caught well they get a huge fine lose their license and get a huge increase on the price on their insurance. That's not fair if and adult does it it can blow over but if a teenger does it they lose their licences for sure and many other bad things. I am not saying that you should drink and drive and that it is not stupid and irresponsible I am just saying its a little unfair that teengers go through this.
My final thought to you is we just should not raise the driving age. It would create older inexperienced drivers, and it would do no good. It would take away freedom for teenagers for a few extra years. While some people still might be thinking it's a good idea it will not solve the problem and say an adult gets married and has kids and we raise the driving age well then he would be an inexperienced
