There are many advantages to driving a manual transmission. Some drivers love the experience they have each time they get behind the wheel. Other drivers may have their favorite car only come with a manual transmission. Then there are some drivers that love the fact that manual transmissions leave some extra money in their wallet. Furthermore, I personally drive a manual and would say I enjoy all of these advantages to driving a manual transmission car. That is to say if you don’t drive a manual transmission car, then you are missing out.

Each manual transmission car has a specific feel to it that cannot be found in another. As a result, driving a manual transmission car allows you to feel one with the car. Besides having different engines, each car has a clutch pedal and a gear shifter. Also, depending on the car and its age a car can have a light or heavy clutch pedal. Each person has their own preference but I personally like a clutch pedal that is not too light and not too heavy. Next to drive a manual transmission, you need to have a clutch pedal to connect the engine to the transmission and change gears. When the clutch pedal is pushed in the engine and transmission are separated allowing the gears to be changed. Because of this process, you will be using a lot of footwork to change gears.
