What Motivates Us Book Report

Hope has endured for a quite lengthy amount of time upon or before events and circumstances in one’s life or the world in general. As time has progressed, analyzing the concepts of hope and setting goals has helped us create an understanding of how, why, and what it takes for people to succeed. One example of a nonfiction book that helps make a connection to hope is Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us by Daniel Pink. By connecting hope and Pink’s novel together, hope supports Pink’s claim that autonomy, mastery, and purpose motivate people, helping them achieve and be successful.
To begin with, autonomy is simply “(...) something that people seek and that improves their lives.” (“Without hope”). If a group of people were asked to respond to this: What ideas could be applied to the definition of autonomy?, some could say happiness, or fighting for what’s right, or hope.
