As of right now I am going to school to become a teacher, so I feel that motivation 3.0 will factor into my life and my career. As a teacher I will be able to my own work freely as long as my work gets done and my students learn what they need to learn. I feel that motivation 3.0 will grow over time because the more I mature in life I will understand its not always about rewards its more about what you get out of doing the work correctly and the right way. According to pink there are seven deadly flaws of carrots and sticks, “they can distinguish intrinsic motivation, diminish performance, crush creativity, crowd out behavior, encourage cheating, shortcuts and unethical behavior, become addictive, and foster thinking.”(Pg. 57). I support Daniel Pink, and I don’t foresee any other operating system besides motivation 3.0 being pressed upon me. I personally encourage people to stay away from carrots ad sticks and lean toward motivation 3.0 for the better of themselves. At the moment or anytime soon I do not plan on changing my operating system because ever since I have changed to motivation 3.0 I feel and see that I have accomplished a lot more with school and life, and I hope it improves more over time. I feel If I do change my predominate operating system I will have major setbacks which I don’t not want. Pink verifies “autonomous motivation promotes greater conceptual understanding, better grades, enhanced presentence in school and sporting activities, and feel less burnt out.”(Pg. 89). All of these have a purpose in motivation 3.0 and I feel that I mastered it to the best of my ability and I did by using autonomy.
