Selecting a Suitable Horn:
There are many things to consider when selecting the perfect drinking horn for yourself. Do not be afraid of being picky about it either. It is YOUR drinking horn and it should be the horn you 've always wanted. Don 't just settle, persevere in your search.
First of all, what kind of drinking horn do you want?
For the most part, most of us want one of those HUGE drinking horns like the Norse had back in the day when the World knelt before us and the Gods. Odin himself would want to drink from it.

This is a very simple process, but you must sacrifice your beer, ale, mead, etc.. Cure your horn by filing it with an Ale, Beer, Mead, Wine (whatever you plan to drink it it the most). You can use the cheap stuff for this process, because you will not be drinking, but dumping it out. Stand your horn up and fill it to the rim with your disposable beverage you are sacrificing. Let it set and soak in the beverage for 4 to 6 hours, then dump it out (eeew, don 't take a sip of it...gross). Do this a couple times, then fill it one last time and let it set for 24 hours and then dump it again. You horn is now cured and you have got most of the wet cow smell and taste out of it. That 's all there is to curing it. Do note beer and ale foam will stain the inside, so pour carefully as to not have any beer foam (unless you just love scrubbing
