Instead of trying to ban things, there should be more education about the downfalls of drinking soda and other sugary substances. In just 10 teaspoons of coca cola, there are 140 calories and 40 grams of sugar, and in 9.8 teaspoons of apple juice there are 165 calories and 39 grams of sugar. Others may make the argument that while fruit juice can be just as sugary as soda, they are filled with other benefits that soda does not have. For example, orange juice contains Vitamin C, Potassium, and Antioxidants (Gunners). While most juice has some benefits that soda may not possess, it contains misleading ingredients that are unhealthy for your body.…

Due to the acknowledgement of raising health apprehension several regions have been trying to make the utilization of soda less appealing.…

I am trying to get to know my project of how the type of soda affects the soda “fountain” that it would create when a Mento is added. I am also trying to know what I should be doing. To do this, I have found various websites that help me understand my project better. First off, I found a website called Mental Floss, with the heading of “Why do Diet Coke and Mentos React” to figure out why Diet Coke erupts with a Mento. The eruption is so powerful, you can create a soda rocket from it.…

According to the American Heart Association, drinking just one bottle of soda puts one over the recommended daily limit of sugar (Bittman). Unfortunately, many soda consumers will drink more than one soda per day, further putting their health at risk from the large intake of sugar. In a meta-analysis, soda consumption intake was associated with an increase in weight and a lower intake of milk, calcium and other key nutrients. This ultimately places one at risk for several medical problems such as diabetes (Vartanian). The high glycemic load from the sugar in soda increases the insulin resistance of cells, therefore increasing the risk for diabetes (Brownell).…

It all began when I started working at the movies and there was nothing else for employees there to drink but soda. Of course, you could purchase a ½ liter water bottle for $4 but I was broke, so I had to stick with the free soda every day I worked. The first month I never noticed a change in my skin, but after about three months I had really bad acne.…
