“What exactly runs through a person’s mind when he/she chooses to drive after drinking?”, one may ask. While the driver afterwards may either pinpoint why they drove drunk or not even remember executing it, one common reason becomes clear: they never received enough education about the effects of drinking and driving. They presumably had limited knowledge on how drinking and driving impinge their lives and the lives of others when they choose to drink in public and not have a designated driver with them. Furthermore, through the drunk driver’s unawareness of their surroundings, a crash either with a structure, tree, or with another vehicle might occur.
