I believe that the drinking age should be lowered to 18, and here are my reasons: I believe that if you are able to die for country at the age of eighteen that you should be able to drink at the age of eighteen. There would be a lot more drunk drivers, but that is why responsibility needs to be taught, so that there could be less drunk drivers in the future. My last reason is that at the age of eighteen we are basically adults. My first reason is that if you can die for your country at the age of eighteen, then you should be able to drink at the age of eighteen. If you can die for your country at the age of eighteen, and you aren’t able to drink then I think that if the drinking age is twenty-one then the drafting age should be increased to

However, think of the young men and women who have died to fend for our country, and not being able to have that first drink with their father, or go out and drink with their friends. Yes drinking can be dangerous in situations, but I believe that if a young man or woman can go die for their country, or even be able to make the important decision on who will lead our country. Then at the age of 18 we should be able to drink alcohol if we want. It can help teach responsibility and help us get through tough…

I really think the drinking age should be lowered to the age of eighteen. If you think about it, it actually makes a lot of sense. For three main reasons. One, teenagers are going to drink alcohol anyway so we might as well legalize it. Two, people are allowed to vote and fight for our country in the military yet they aren 't allowed to even drink alcohol.…

For my persuasive essay I would discuss my reasoning on why I believe the drinking age should be raised to 25. There are too many incidents involving alcohol and young adults. If the drinking age was 25 it would decrease the chances of engaging in unprotected sex, driving while intoxicated, and overall it would minimize the amount of bad choices made among young adults. The brain isn’t fully mature until the age of 25 which means that the decision making part of our brain isn’t fully developed before then. In order to prevent drunk young adults from making bad choices they should refrain from drinking until their brain is fully matured.…

I personally think that the minimum legal drinking age should remain at twenty-one. When a person turns twenty-one they are looking forward to being able to legally drink and buy alcohol when they want to. On a person’s sixteenth birthday they look forward to getting their license, on their eighteenth they are finally legal, and on their twenty-first they can finally drink legally. Turning twenty-one is just another milestone in a person’s life and the drinking age shouldn’t be lowered when consuming alcohol legally goes with that particular milestone. I also think that the minimum legal drinking age shouldn’t be lowered because it is a safety hazard and should be taken seriously.…
