Drinking Age Persuasive Speech

Was one of your family members affected by drugs or alcohol at a young age? I know mine have. People all over the world are affected or dying from alcohol the most killing drug out there. People seem to think of this drug as a normal thing now and it's harmless which is completely incorrect. Certain people seem to believe the opposite of this and think it should be raised. When people say the word college at least half of the people in the room think of parties because in your 3rd year of college you can finally drink, seems perfectly fine right? Well not so fine.

People believe that the minimum drinking age laws have done nothing in the efforts to stop drinking since people seem to still drink underage. Most people at one point in their lives will get the option to drink underage some people choose not to while others do not. People believe that 18 year olds are good and ready to drink as they are adults and now are responsible for their own decisions. In terms of raising or lowering the best option would most likely be raising "It does not make sense to increase access to alcohol when there are already so many problems with underage drinking." People feel this way since drinking underage is already a serious problem and wouldn't lowering it just increase the problem? Teenagers get alcohol from 21 year olds and it’s easy it would be so much easier if it was lowered to 18 year olds which results in more alcoholics. With that being said should the legal limit of alcohol really be lowered?
When college students drink they are closer to becoming an alcoholic than a 25 year old graduate. We should all try to get a handle on the drinking since it seems to become less of a problem each
