"It's pretty cool to see how far music can take you" (Luke Bryan). Bryan's journey to being an artist started when he was only fourteen. His parents bought him a guitar and he would play and sing because he had a great voice. After the graduated from school he wanted to move to Nashville to be country singer, he could become famous and write and sing country music. Bryan had it all planned out and he was very excited, but then the day before he was going to leave he got a call that he never wanted to get. His brother had gotten in a car accident and passed away. He did not know what to do, he was supposed to leave for Nashville tomorrow but that had to be postponed. Later that evening he had gotten another alert, his sister while she was at home with her child had unexpectedly passed away as well. They …show more content…
In the ACMA's that same year he was nominated for four awards. Two of which were the Entertainer of the year and song of the year for his hit song "Drink a Beer". I think his greatest accomplishment is getting the song of the year for "Drink a Beer", because that song means so much to him and a lot of his fans so that is a huge accomplishment. Also since the song is based off of his sister and brother dying I think that it is a great remembrance of them. He was only the 17th person to receive that award so he will be remember and that is something that not a lot of people have gotten or will get in their lifetime, so it is very significant. The first few lines of "Drink a Beer" are "When I got the news today I didn't know what to say, so I just hung up the phone. Took a walk to clear my head, this is where the walking led, can't believe you're really gone." These lines show that the song and his family members that he lost really meant a lot to him. That is why his most significant accomplishment so far in his career is getting an award for that
